Odyssey Reimagined Group Show

Museum Exhibition | 2026
National Hellenic Museum

Odyssey Reimagined brings together contemporary artists to reinterpret Homer's ancient Greek epic, The Odyssey, through different artistic perspectives. The exhibition explores universal themes of migration, identity, belonging, resilience, and the journey home.

My contribution, Journey Home, approaches these themes through the experience of immigration and cultural identity. Having immigrated from China to the United States as a child, the idea of leaving one home and finding another has remained an important part of my life and artistic practice.

The work connects my personal experience with the larger human story of displacement, adaptation, and belonging. Although separated by cultures and thousands of years, the journeys in Homer's Odyssey share questions that continue to shape contemporary life.

The exhibition brings ancient Greek storytelling into conversation with contemporary art, demonstrating how different cultures and personal histories can find common ground through shared human experiences.
