Storytelling has been an important part of my artistic journey. Through writing and illustration, I explore imagination, personal memories, cultural traditions, and history.

My books range from playful stories for young readers to narratives inspired by family experiences and overlooked historical figures. Each book presents a different creative challenge, bringing together visual storytelling, composition, and the relationship between words and images.

This work has received national recognition, including the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature Honor for Father's Chinese Opera and the Carter G. Woodson Book Award for Mountain Chef.
